Photoshop Experiment

• This is a before and after shot of a photo I edited using Photoshop
• I edited it by firstly using the blur tool around the edges on a setting of 25
• Using the gradient tool I created a wide gradient around the top left hand side and subtler ones going to the right
• I then used the adjustments panel to create the dull effect of the photo which involved lowering the brightness and contrast settings, adding a red saturation and a yellower hue
• I then used the blur tool again on a smaller brush setting and on hardness of 5 where I brushed over the trees and brow of the hill giving the impression of distance or fog, vaguely distorting the horizon.

• On this image of a house my aim was to make the photo appear aged
• I did this by blurring the image on a setting of 15 hardness setting and blurring the outside edges
• I then changed the colour using the colour balance and decreasing the saturation and vibrancy which gave the impression of an old photo which is commonly represented in horror movies
