Final Titles

After making the first title and getting audience feedback, I found that it didn't fit well with our opening. It didn't look very professional or show great skill. I therefore decided I would take a font from online and edit it too look more professional.
I downloaded the font 'Optimus Princeps' from DaFont.com and typed our font name in a blood red colours (#660000) on a dark charcoal grey background (#0c0c0c).
I found a GIF of smoke online and opened it on Photoshop on an animation timeline and then set each frame as 'Soft Light' This made the black areas transparent. I then put the typography underneath this layer.

I then duplicated the 25 frames and reversed them to make the clip longer and then set each frame from 26 to -4% transparency to make the smoke fade out and make the text more visible.

 Evaluation

  • This title shows more skills within photoshop
  • Its quite simple but look effective and professional
  • There isn't any blur like in the previous font
  • The movement of the smoke fits the aesthetic of the horror genre and shows more skill
