Research into production companies

The Orphan
- The orphan was a co-production with warner bros pictures and dark castle entertainment.
- Warner bros pictures is a well known production company and is one of the major film studios and has produced many horrors films such as 'the exorcist' and 'I am legend'

- Warner bros pictures is a very successful production company which tells the audience that they should expect and good film.

- Warner bros budget for the film would be a lot higher compared to other companies and so they would be able to spend more money and creating  a film with good quality.

- Dark castle entertainment is a much smaller production company however they have created more horror films and so specialise in the produce of horror films.
- Dark castle entertainment have produced films such as 'ghost ship and 'the reaping'



SAW
- Saw was in a co-production with lions gate films and twisted pictures.
- Since 1997 lions gate films have produced over 200 films

- They have produced horror films such as 'the devil's rejects' and 'the punisher'

Twisted picture is well known for producing horror films such as 'Texas chainsaw' and 'dead silence' and these films were very successful which shows that the following film will be as successful.

- The benefits of having a co-production is that the film will receive ideas and key skills from different people in the film production which will make the film more effective. Also smaller companies such as twisted pictures will be able to create a more effective and improved films by having financial help from more wealthier companies such as lion gate films.
