- Using Final Cut Pro we were able to put a filter on some shots to enforce the horror genre using special effects. For the shot of the doll hanging on a wooden barrel we inserted a filter to make the scene look more dull with darker colours in the background, without influencing the doll's appearance in the foreground. We did it by clicking on effects then using 'Luma Keyer'.
- We increased the speed of the shot where the doll turns its head towards the camera using Final Cut Pro because it gives a sense of disorientation as a doll is moving by itself as well as odd movements which aren't lifelike, giving the impression of supernatural occurrences. The speed was changed by using final cut pro where there is an option in the right side of the screen where we changed the footage to speed up by 20%.
- The final piece of editing was filtering the shot of a woman in front of a bright window, making a black figure visible surrounded by white light. The reason for the filter was to make any light on the body discrete. We did this by selecting a tinted filter that darkened the shot, but kept the background bright which we found effective because it maintained our convention of horror by keeping the dull colouring of the figure in the foreground without hindering the brighter colours.
