During our film credits we will use sound. Although we are hoping they will be primarily original recordings done at home, some effects will be harder to do and it will be more effective to do these from pre recorded sounds.
1. 'Ambient Horror'
- This clip was downloaded from Freesound.org
- I think it would work well layered underneath a bolder main melody or sound.
- It involves an ongoing drone, and drum beat, as well as occasional glass/bell noises, giving the impression of the area the credits are in being abandoned or a supernatural presence being there.
2. Throbbing Bass
- This sound was also downloaded from Freesound.org
- It would also work well layered under a main melody or sound however it has less happening in it than 'ambient horror' meaning effects over it would be relied on more.
3. Heartbeat
- This clip was downloaded from freeSFX.co.uk
- Having listened to different credit sequences and clips from horrors there is usually a rhythm or sound representing a heartbeat - using an effect like this would mean that we would easily be able to incorporate this element into our film either in a section by itself or on a loop.
4. Ripping Flesh
- This clip was also downloaded from freeSFX.co.uk
- I would like this sound effect incorporated into a piece of music as an effect heard once or twice during the credits, unlike the heartbeat I don't think this would be effective on a loop.
