Practical- Possession Horror Props

What I used to create this prop:
-  A large candle
-  A small red candle
-  Small pages of the bible
-  PVA Glue
-  Water
-  Paint brush

1. First I lit candle and let it burn for a couple of hours
2. I then mixed PVA glue and water together
3. Then I started to apply pages of the bible on to the edges of the candle as it shows the religious and spiritual aspect of the possession genre
4. I added a few layers of this using the PVA glue with a the paint brush
5. Next I let the wax burn over the sides then start to melt more wax to make it look more effective
6. I then melted red wax along the sides to represent blood
7. Finally I left the candle in the dark and test out the lighting to see the effectiveness of the candle's shadows

- These props have been used in films such as 'Insidious 2' and 'The Innocents', where they were used as the only source of low-key lighting.
- They would be ideal for using in a possession scene of where there is an exorcism been taking place.
