- I sampled different instruments on Garageband to see what effect was appropriate for the rest of the film score
- I settled on the 'Wurlitzer Classic' electric piano as this blended with the film score and the effect I was aiming to achieve of a calm environment with a sense of darkness behind them
- Using this I created a quaver rhythm with occasional dotted notes using the notes of E, A flat and C creating a brown chord of A minor. The piano plays these notes 4 times and then modulates to F, A flat and C, showing the broken chord of F minor
- These two broken chords are repeated throughout the music and settle on nine beats of an E during the falling 'Steinway Piano' at the end of the piece
